OS crashed on it about 3 weeks ago. Got it fixed, just needed to install drivers, so I go to Dell and I get all the drivers I need and run them.

They all work except for the wireless adapter, which leaves my laptop as a wired-only machine. That's not good for a lot of situations, so I get other driver files for different sites, old flash drives and stuff. None work, only connection it wants to recognize is Ethernet.
So I go to device manager. Try to have it find a driver itself using a wired connection and it gets stuck on searching and downloading for literally 5 hours.
I've tried everything I know. I even tried manually identifying the wireless card in the 'update driver' tab amongst all the Dell, Intel, Atheros, etc presets that you basically have to match letter for letter, and my device wasn't listed.
I don't know what else to do, and it's frustrating me that wireless is literally the only thing that refuses to work.
I'm not extremely computer literate, but I can usually solve a problem. This time is different... I'm considering just selling the thing. But it'd probably be worthless. I don't know.
