Several of the events in the Story of Evil are inspired by the French Revolution. The series itself belongs to a bigger project, the Seven Deadly Sins series (Japanese: 七つの大罪Hepburn: Nanatsu no Taizai) from the Chronicles of Evillious (Japanese: エヴィリオス年代記Hepburn: Eviriosu Nendaiki).

History[edit]
The songs of the series were written using the Vocaloid software and references various Vocaloid and Utau mascots. A basic connecting plot was created before the release of any songs, which the rest of the series elaborates on. [1][2] Originally the series only focused more on the Crypton Future Media Vocaloids, however as the storyline progressed, Vocaloids from other studios were introduced from Zero-G Ltd, AH Software and Internet Co., Ltd. The first songs of the series, 'Daughter of Evil' and 'Servant of Evil' were uploaded within weeks of each other to the video sharing website Niconico in April, 2008. They featured the Kagamine Rin & Len Vocaloid package, with former using Rin and latter using Len. The overall series began to take shape after the release of 'Servant of Evil', which gave additional, emotional context to the story shown in 'Daughter of Evil'.

In May, 2008, 'Regret Message' was uploaded, acting as sequel to the previous two songs. The song 'Daughter of White' was released on January 6, 2010, retelling much of the established story through a different viewpoint in addition to showing the singer's unique experiences. At its end, 'Daughter of White' acts as a direct continuation of 'Regret Message'. All four songs were referenced in the first official novel, Daughter of Evil, Clôture of Yellow, which was released on August 10, 2010.[3] A theater play event, based on the first three songs and the backstory written by mothy on his blog, was shown in Japan during the month of January, 2010. 'Twiright Prank', a new song set prior to 'Daughter of Evil', was sung by Shimoda Asami for the play. A version of 'Twiright Prank' using Rin and Len was released in the album EVILS FOREST on May 9, 2010. A music video for the song was uploaded on August 3, 2010.
'Tree Maiden ~Millennium Wiegenlied~' was released in the album EVILS COURT on August 13, 2011. It was the sixth song to be released in the Story of Evil, and the third song to retell parts of the series in a new perspective; it parallels the events that occurred in 'Daughter of White'. The song 'Handbeat Clocktower' was released alongside the novel Daughter of Evil: Praefacio of Blue on March 23, 2012. It takes place five years after the events in 'Daughter of Evil'. The song 'Blink' acts as a sequel to both 'Daughter of White' and 'Tree Maiden ~Millennium Wiegenlied~'. It was released in the album The Muzzle of Nemesis on August 17, 2014.

On August 14, 2016, the album Lucifenia Trinity was released, featuring three new prequel songs about the 'Three Heroes' of Lucifenia: 'A Hero's Armor is Always Crimson', 'Neomaria of the Inverted Gravestone' and 'Swear an Oath on that Bridge'. Later that year, on September 21, 2016, a song about King Arth, 'That King was Born from Mud' was released in the EXIT TUNES' compilation album Vocalocreation.
Characters[edit]
- Riliane Lucifen d'Autriche: The 'Daughter of Evil'. She is the ruling Princess of Lucifenia. Riliane is extremely cruel and selfish, executing people for minor offenses and heavily exploiting Lucifenia's populace, even during wars and famines. She does not remember that Allen is her twin brother, due to the side effects of a spell cast on her by the Court Sorceress, Elluka Clockworker. 'd'Autriche' means 'of Austria' in French. She later changes her name to 'Rin' after the revolution and works as a nun in the Held Monastery on the coast of Elphegort.
- Allen Avadonia: The 'Servant of Evil'. He is a chamberlain who serves the princess, acting incognito. Leonhart Avadonia is his adopted father and Germaine is his adopted sister. He was born as Prince Alexiel Lucifen d'Autriche of Lucifenia, and is the twin brother of Riliane. However, he cannot reveal this, as Prince Alexiel was supposed to have died in an assassination attempt when he was a child. Allen sacrificed himself to save Riliane from revolutionary forces.
- Germaine Avadonia: The 'Swordswoman in Red Armor'. She lives in the castle town of Lucifenia. Born as Princess Zita Beelzenia, she was adopted as an infant by Leonhart Avadonia after he killed her family during one of King Arth's wars. Her adoptive brother is Allen Avadonia. Germaine led the revolution against the 'Daughter of Evil' after Leonhart was murdered.
- Michaela: The 'Girl of the Kingdom of Green'. A young woman who works for Keel Freezis, the 'great merchant', as a maid in the country of Elphegort. Michaela fell in love with Clarith after the two met. She is known to be beautiful, gentle, friendly and beloved by everyone. She has a beautiful singing voice, taught by Elluka Clockworker. Both Kyle Marlon and Allen Avadonia became infatuated with Michaela, though she did not return either of their feelings, as she was already in love with Clarith. Michaela is not human; rather, she is a robin spirit from the Millennium Tree Forest given human form by Elluka at the request of the Earth God, Held. After her death, Michaela succeeded Held as the Millennium Tree.
- Kyle Marlon: The 'King of the Blue Kingdom'. He is the King of Marlon, and is the fiance of Princess Riliane. His mother is the Dowager Queen Prim Marlon, and he has thirteen sisters. Kyle fell in love with Michaela, and broke off the marriage with Riliane, causing her to start a war with the neighboring country, Elphegort, killing Michaela and countless others in the process. Following this, Kyle secretly began assisting the movement to overthrow the Princess. Kyle Marlon was manipulated by his mother throughout his life, eventually conquering Lucifenia under Prim's influence after Riliane was deposed.
- Clarith: The 'Daughter of White'. She worked for Keel Freezis as a maid and was best friends and lovers with Michaela. She was an outcast in her home, Yatski Village, because of her race and appearance. It often resulted in beatings and punishments from the villagers until the death of her adoptive mother, where Michaela convinced her to move to the capital, Aceid. Clarith later became a nun after the death of Michaela, working with and befriending 'Rin'.
- Chartette Langley: A lady's maid who serves the princess. She is a childhood friend of Allen and is a chimera. Though she looks like she's fifteen, her real age is closer to thirty. She's known to have superhuman strength, and is very clumsy.
- Ney Phutapie: A lady's maid who serves the princess, and the adoptive daughter of Mariam Phutapie. She blurts whatever comes into her loose mouth. Ney is really the daughter of the Queen Dowager of Marlon, working as a spy and an assassin in the Kingdom of Lucifenia. Ney was born out of an affair between Prim Marlon and the former King of Lucifenia, Arth.
- Leonhart Avadonia: A knight, the Commander of the Royal Guard in Lucifenia and one of 'Three Heroes'. Leonhart was killed by his adoptive son, Allen Avadonia, on the orders of Princess Riliane for sharing palace food to starving citizens. He has two adoptive children: Allen and Germaine.
- Mariam Phutapie: The 'Head of Lady's Maids' of Lucifenia. She is good at cloak-and-dagger activity and also one of 'Three Heroes'. Ney Phutapie is her adopted daughter. Mariam had once been Abyss IR's assassin, Neomaria, after Abyss killed her family. When she lost her memories in an accident, Neomaria started a new life as Mariam Phutapie.
- Elluka Clockworker: The 'Capricious Sorceress'. She is a court sorceress of Lucifenia and also one of 'Three Heroes'. She is a five-hundred-year-old immortal sorceress who is on a quest to collect and cleanse the Seven Deadly Sins at the request of the God, Held. Elluka abandons the Lucifenian Throne after Princess Riliane orders a genocide against women in Elphegort.
- Gast Venom: The 'Demon of Asmodean'. He was the leader of a mercenary force known as the 'Asmodean Company' that was used by Princess Riliane in order to suppress dissent. Originally born as Zenon Octo, Gast spent much of his life searching for a way to reunite with his deceased sister, Sarah.
- Gumillia: She is regarded as one of 'Next Three Heroes' and is an apprentice of Elluka, as well as a friend of Michaela. Like Michaela, she is a forest spirit given human form by Elluka. Her original form was that of a chipmunk. Unlike Michaela's hyper self, Gumillia is known to be stoic and awkward.
- Keel Freezis: The 'Great Merchant' who lives in Elphegort. He is an immigrant from the Marlon Kingdom and a friend of Kyle Marlon. He believes strictly in the Held Sect of the Levin religion.
- Yukina Freezis: She's the nine-year-old daughter of Keel Freezis, and often finds herself in trouble for bullying other kids. Yukina's proved very intelligent, even writing a series of novels. What she really wants is to find the truth on the Story of Evil and turn it into a novel.
- Mikina Freezis: An aristocrat from Marlon who abandoned her previous life in order to marry Keel. Mikina was manipulated and blackmailed by Abyss IR and Prim Marlon for several years.
- Shaw Freezis: Yukina's brother. He is the eldest son of the Freezis family. Shaw eventually inherited his father's merchant guild.
- Aile Freezis: Yukina and Shaw's sister. She is the youngest daughter of the Freezis family.
- Prim Marlon: The Queen Dowager and effective ruler of Marlon. She is the mother of Ney and Kyle. She manipulated Lucifenia into a war so that she could take it over once it was weakened. She was born as Prim Rogzé, and was the former friend of both King Arth and Queen Anne before deliberately deciding to ruin their lives.
- Riliane Mouchet: The former commander of the bastion army of the Retasan Territory in Lucifenia. She dislikes to be called by her real name, which is shared by Riliane Lucifen d'Autriche, and instead prefers to be called by her nickname, Lily.
- Abyss IR: Prim Marlon's court mage. She is a centuries-old immortal sorceress who helped to orchestrate the downfall of Lucifenia. Throughout the Story of Evil, Abyss manipulates several influential characters in order to further her own ambitions and outsmart her rival, Elluka Clockworker. She is always seen with a red cat.
- Arth Lucifen d'Autriche: The father of Riliane and Allen, and the former king of Lucifenia. Despite having a body made with mud, Arth was able to become a respected and powerful ruler. With the help of the 'Three Heroes', he rapidly expanded his country over a short period of time. He died of an illness in combat.
- Anne Lucifen d'Autriche: The mother of Riliane and Allen. Born as Anne Swee, she was once the friend of Prim Marlon before she married Arth. Anne ruled as queen after the death of her husband, but later died of the same illness. Her daughter, Riliane, continued use the title of princess after ascending to the throne out of respect for her.
- Arkatoir Marlon: A member of parliament in Marlon. He is an illegitimate son of the former King of Marlon, and one of his few children who were not killed by the orders of Prim Marlon. Arkatoir is Kyle Marlon's half-brother, and he becomes king after Kyle abdicates.
Setting[edit]
Countries[edit]
Lucifenia
The Kingdom of Lucifenia, known as the 'Yellow Country', is where the majority of events in the Story of Evil are centered upon. It follows the Levia sect of the Levin religion. It was the most powerful country at the start of the series, though it later collapsed as a result of Princess Riliane's regime. After this, Lucifenia was controlled by Marlon for several years before eventually becoming an independent republic. Lucifenia was inspired by France; its name was inspired by Lucifer.
Marlon
The Kingdom of Marlon was an island country located across the sea from the rest of the region. It had a strong navy. Marlon annexed Lucifenia following its revolution and planned on conquering many of the surrounding countries, though this plan was eventually cancelled by Kyle Marlon, the King of Marlon. The country was inspired by the United Kingdom; its name was inspired by Mammon. It was commonly known as the 'Blue Country'.
Elphegort
The Kingdom of Elphegort was a country located next to Lucifenia. It occupied much of the Millennium Tree Forest, containing the Millennium Tree of the god, Held. Because of this, Held worshipers were much more prevalent in Elphegort than they were in other countries dominated by non-Held sects. The worshipers referred to the forest as Held's Forest, which was its original name. Often called the 'Green Country', Elphegort was invaded by Lucifenia on the orders of Princess Riliane, who launched a genocide known as the 'Green Hunting', primarily targeting green-haired women from this country. Elphegort was inspired by Germany, and its name was inspired by Belphegor.

Beelzenia
The Beelzenian Empire was a country in the Story of Evil. Its name was inspired by Beelzebub. It lost much of its influence before the events of the series, becoming a repeated target of the more powerful Lucifenia. After the fall of Lucifenia, Beelzenia harbored its separatists from persecution, entering into conflicts with the aggressive Kingdom of Marlon.
Levianta
Divine Levianta was a country that functioned as the head of the Levin Church. Its name was inspired by Leviathan. Several hundred years before the series, Levianta was known as the Magic Kingdom. It was the most powerful country in the world at that time, possessing advanced technology and many magic users. However, the Magic Kingdom and its society were eventually completely destroyed in a major accident. Both Elluka Clockworker and Abyss IR were refugees from the Magic Kingdom.
Asmodean
Asmodean was a country in the Story of Evil. Gast Venom's mercenaries were based in this country. Its name was inspired by Asmodeus.
Magic[edit]
Magic plays a central role in the Story of Evil, despite few practicing or embracing it. Elluka Clockworker and her apprentice Gumillia were powerful magicians, using their abilities publicly. Abyss IR worked far more covertly, though she had similar abilities. Certain other characters, such as Michaela, were also able to use magic.
Seven Deadly Sins[edit]
The Seven Deadly Sins represent tangible phenomenon in the Story of Evil. Individuals can be possessed and influenced by objects embodying a specific sin, known as the 'Vessels of Deadly Sin', and their associated demons. Besides Pride, the sins of Gluttony, Lust, Wrath, and Greed also influence several happenings in the series.
Religion[edit]
The primary religion shown in the Story of Evil is Levin, a polytheistic religion inspired by Christianity. Levin has several sects, the largest of which is the Levia sect. The Held sect is the second largest, mainly present in the country of Elphegort.
Songs[edit]
Daughter of Evil[edit]
'Daughter of Evil' (Japanese: 悪ノ娘Hepburn: Aku no Musume) is the first song of the series, and was released on April 6, 2008. It uses the voice of Kagamine Rin and details the basic story of a cruel princess, Riliane, ruling in a corrupt manner, using her servant, Allen, to order the fall of the green kingdom after the man she loves is found to be in love with a woman from there, and subsequently 'being executed'.
The song was later re-released using the Kagamine Rin and Len ACT2 program. It received a 'velvet mix' and a detailed, new music video on December 27, 2009. The new music video contained 38 descriptions of things in the series which were connected to accompanying quotes in the music video for 'Servant of Evil'.
Servant of Evil[edit]
'Servant of Evil' (Japanese: 悪ノ召使Hepburn: Aku no Meshitsukai) is the second song of the series, and was released on April 29, 2008. It mainly uses the voice of Kagamine Len, though a small portion near the end of the song includes Kagamine Rin's voice. It details the story of how the twins were separated when they were very small, Riliane's various orders, how Allen met Michaela and fell in love with her, and, at the end, how Allen traded places with the princess to be executed. Throughout the song, Allen reinforces his loyalty and love for Riliane. Before dying, he wishes they could be reborn and play together again.
Like 'Daughter of Evil', this song was re-released using the Kagamine Rin and Len ACT2 program. It also received a 'velvet mix' and a more detailed music video on December 27, 2009. The new music video contained 38 quotes from various characters which were connected to accompanying descriptions in the music video for 'Daughter of Evil'.
Regret Message[edit]
'Regret Message' (Japanese: リグレットメッセージHepburn: Riguretto Messeeji) was the third song of the series to be released; it uses the voice of Kagamine Rin and was uploaded on May 25, 2008, telling of Riliane's feelings a year after 'Servant of Evil'. In the song, Riliane realizes that it had been her own selfishness that had killed her brother. She traveled to the coast, writing a message on parchment, before putting it in a glass bottle and throwing it into the sea. In the message was the wish for her and Allen to be reborn as twins again.
After its original release, 'Regret Message' was given a 'velvet mix'.
Daughter of White[edit]
'Daughter of White' (Japanese: 白ノ娘Hepburn: Shiro no Musume) is the fourth song of the series; it was released on January 6, 2010.[4] 'Daughter of White' is sung by the Vocaloid derivative 'Yowane Haku' using the Hatsune Miku vocal. The song details the events of a new character, Clarith, who lived in the country of Elphegort. Unlike everyone around her, Clarith had white hair, making her a target for harassment and bullying. Depressed and lonely, Clarith prayed to the god Held at the Millennium Tree for a friend. Shorty thereafter, she found an unconscious Michaela at that same tree. Taking her in, the two quickly bonded, with Clarith initially struggling to believe that Michaela actually cared for someone like her. The two soon left the village that they were in to work at the mansion of Keel Freezis, a wealthy merchant. During a party at the mansion, King Kyle of Marlon was introduced to Michaela and became infatuated with her, cancelling his planned marriage to Princess Riliane of Lucifenia. In anger, Princess Riliane ordered a genocide against all green-haired women in Elphegort, thus killing Michaela and many others but not Clarith, who became immensely sad after losing her partner. Deciding to work as a nun in hopes of rebuilding her life, Clarith met another person, 'Rin', near her monastery, and the two became friends. However, when Clarith eventually overheard 'Rin' confess her identity as the overthrown Princess Riliane, she became overcome by wrath and attempted to stab 'Rin' in revenge. This attempt was aborted, though, and at the end of the song, Clarith apologized to Michaela for not being able to avenge her, saying that she saw similarities between 'Rin' and her past self.
Twiright Prank[edit]
'Twiright Prank' (Japanese: トワイライトプランクHepburn: Towairaito Puranku) is the fifth song of the series; it was originally composed for a theater adaption of the Story of Evil that opened on January 27, 2010, featuring voice actress Shimoda Asami. A version of the song sung by Kagamine Rin and Len was released on May 9, 2010.[4] The song shows a small snapshot of the princess and servant's lives as small children before they were separated, avoiding a hungry, mysterious 'demon' in the twilight. Alexiel eventually realized that the demon would be always hungry no matter what and decides to share his snack with the demon. In return, the demon tells Alexiel a secret about the ocean, which he later shares with Riliane. The name of the song was purposefully changed from 'Twilight' to 'Twiright' by mothy, who explained that he did that because 'right' means 'correct' and 'normal', 'twi' carries the meaning of 'twist', the ones who are performing it are 'R'in and 'L'en, and the prince gave a sweet to a 'demon' while the princess did not in the song.[5]
Tree Maiden ~Millennium Wiegenlied~[edit]
'Tree Maiden ~Millennium Wiegenlied~' (Japanese: 樹の乙女~千年のヴィーゲンリート~Hepburn: Itsuki no Otome ~Sennen no Viigenriito~) is the sixth song in the series, and was released on August 13, 2011, using the voice of Hatsune Miku. It's from the view of Michaela, the girl that Clarith finds unconscious in 'Daughter of White'. Michaela, who was a spirit, was transformed into a human by Elluka Clockworker. Meeting Clarith, the two fall in love and run away to a new village where they become servants. At a banquet, Michaela meets King Kyle Marlon. This meeting sparks the fated war mentioned in the other songs, and ends with Michaela dying at the bottom of a well and wishing that she could be reborn together with Clarith.
Handbeat Clocktower[edit]
'Handbeat Clocktower' (Japanese: 針音ノ時計塔Hepburn: Shinon no Tokeitou) is the seventh song in the series; it features the Vocaloid vocals Kaito and Kaai Yuki and was released on March 23, 2012. It occurs 5 years after the events in 'Daughter of Evil', coming from the view of Kyle Marlon, the King of Marlon. In this song, it's revealed that his mother, the Dowager Queen Prim Marlon, organized a conspiracy that resulted in most of the conflicts in the series, such as Riliane's possession by demons and the genocide against Elphegort. As she sits in the Clocktower of Castle Hedgehog in Marlon, Kyle considers her as a demon because of her cruelty. The song additionally reveals Michaela's killer as Ney Phutapie, born as Ney Marlon, Kyle's younger half-sister, who was also part of the conspiracy. When Kyle moves to confront his mother, Ney stabs and kills Prim Marlon in a rage.
'Handbeat Clocktower' is a remix of the song 'Heartbeat Clocktower', released by mothy in 2009.
Blink[edit]
'Blink' (Japanese: またたきHepburn: Matataki) is the eighth song in the series; it was released on August 17, 2014, and features the voice of Kagamine Rin. It portrays the former Princess Riliane, now a nun calling herself 'Rin', reflecting on planting a sapling that will inevitably grow into a very large tree. The sapling contains the spirit of Michaela, the specific target of Riliane's genocide. 'Rin' thinks about how different time will seem to the sapling, and if her sins will ever be forgiven as years pass.
A Hero's Armor is Always Crimson[edit]
'A Hero's Armor is Always Crimson' (Japanese: 英雄の鎧は常に紅くHepburn: Eiyuu no Yoroi wa Tsune ni Akaku) is the ninth song of the series; it was released on the album Lucifenia Trinity using the Vocaloid voicebank Meiko on August 14, 2016. The song tells of Leonhart Avadonia, a powerful knight, who is serving King Arth Lucifen d'Autriche of Lucifenia. Leonhart is fully devoted to his service, coldly killing many in warfare against Lucifenia's enemies. One day, he murders a noblewoman and kidnaps her infant daughter, realizing that she's a Beelzenian princess and hoping to use her as a hostage one day. Five years later, he's taking care of the girl, thinking her to be foolish, not knowing the man she calls dad killed her parents. After he's a approached by the Marlon Espionage Task Force that has come to take the princess and use her political leverage, Leonhart considers giving her up. When the child draws a blade to protect him, he changes his mind and fights off the task force, deciding to adopt the former princess as his daughter, Germaine Avadonia.
Neomaria of the Inverted Gravestone[edit]
'Neomaria of the Inverted Gravestone' (Japanese: 逆さ墓標のネオマリアHepburn: Sakasa Bohyou no Neomaria) is the tenth song of the series; it was released on the album Lucifenia Trinity using the Vocaloid voicebank Mayu on August 14, 2016. It shows a young girl who had her family murdered by a witch, Abyss IR, that then used her as a human experiment, calling her 'Prototype N'. Turned into a murder weapon without feelings, the girl, Neomaria, one day makes a caravan 'disappear' on her own. One day she's sent to kill a deserter from Beelzenia by the witch, and Neomaria obeys, and prepares to ambush him from a cliff. However, seeing the deserter to be a person of a similar age caused Neomaria to feel doubtful, accidentally losing her footing and falling from the cliff. When she regain consciousness, she's lost all her memories and the deserter seemingly treated her wounds. Recalling 'maria' she decides to call herself 'Mariam' and is picked up by a group of soldiers, one of them being a spy with the surname Phutapie.
Swear an Oath on that Bridge[edit]
'Swear an Oath on that Bridge' (Japanese: あの橋に誓ってHepburn: Ano Hashi ni Chikatte) was the eleventh song in the series, and was released on the album Lucifenia Trinity on August 14, 2016. It features the Vocaloid voicebank Megurine Luka. In the song, Elluka Clockworker, along with the other 'Three Heroes', Mariam Phutapie and Leonhart Avadonia are going to the Sanosun Bridge to swear their allegiance to the King of Lucifenia, Arth Lucifen d'Autriche. Reflecting on her long live and newfound friends, Elluka thinks about how bridges connects people's hearts as well as countries. After she sees a bat in the sky that sings the Clockwork Lullaby, the four meet up at the bridge and swear their loyalty to the country.
That King was Born from Mud[edit]
'That King was Born from Mud' (Japanese: 彼の王は泥より生まれたHepburn: Ka no Ou wa Doro Yori Umareta) is the twelfth song of the series; released on September 21, 2016. It features the voice of Kagamine Len. It tells of Arth Lucifen d'Autriche, the King of Lucifenia. When he was younger, he and his family died in an accident. A forest spirit named Lich molded a mud golem after Arth, reviving him. Despite no longer being an actual human, Arth still fought for his country with nothing but love in his heart, even siring twin children with his wife, Lady Anne Swee. King Arth permanently died when the children were six, sparking a crisis that lead to the naming of Princess Riliane as his heir.

Theater Plays[edit]
~Gemini of Charm~[edit]
A Theater Play event, entitled Daughter of Evil ~Gemini of Charm~ (Japanese: 悪ノ娘~凄艶のジェミニ~Hepburn: Aku no Musume ~Seien no Jiemini~), opened from January 27, 2010 to January 31, 2010 by X-QUEST. Beyond background tracks for the play, it features covers of the velvet mixes of mothy's three songs by Shimoda Asami, the voice actress who had lent her voice for Kagamine Rin and Len, and a new song called 'Twiright Prank', composed by mothy and performed by Shimoda Asami. The original soundtrack, which includes instrumental songs used in the play and the four vocal songs, was released on February 3, 2010.[11]
The script was written by Hidekatsu Tokunaga, a host of the play and also a member of X-QUEST, with his own interpretation based on the plot story which mothy offered for the play. ~Gemini of Charm~ was the first adaption of the series to have its characters be given unique names by mothy; for instance, the princess is 'Riliane', the servant is 'Allen', Kaito's character is 'Kyle', and Miku's character is 'Michaela'. However, there are many differences between storylines and settings by mothy and those by Hidekatsu Tokunaga. mothy was not involved with the script's writing in any way and the song 'Daughter of White' had not been created yet when it was written.[12][13] Many of Hidekatsu Tokunaga's original parodies and episodes are added to the script.[14][15][16][17]
God of Evil[edit]
Another theater play event, entitled God of Evil (Japanese: 悪ノ神Hepburn: Aku no Kami), was held on April 11, 2010 by Drama Group Brioche. Drama Group Brioche was established by fans to make a theater play of the three songs in the series.[18] The Drama Group Brioche made a big success in God of Evil or 'xxx of Evil' in short. It had been sold to many countries worldwide.
The Daughter of Evil Musical[edit]
The Daughter of Evil Musical was a 2017 adaption of the Story of Evil in musical form.[19] The script was created by Hidekatsu Tokunaga, who had also written the script for ~Gemini of Charm~. This musical is more closely based on the official story than ~Gemini of Charm~ was, and also incorporates information which was not available at the time of the first performance, such as the existence of the character Clarith or the additional books. Reina Tanaka was cast as Princess Riliane, and Kazutomi Yamamoto was cast as Allen Avadonia. It ran from June 4, 2017 to June 11, 2017.
Manga[edit]
Canon[edit]
The Daughter of Evil[edit]
An official serialization by the series most prominent illustrator, Ichika, began on February 17, 2015. It is currently planned to only be based on the two first novels. It also expands the story by showing certain events omitted in the novels, such as Riliane and Allen's first meeting. The manga has its own promotional website.[20]
It currently has four 'acts' and has as far as seven confirmed to be released in the future.
Non-canon[edit]
Comedy of Evil Project[edit]

The Servant of Evil[edit]
Japanese Monthly Magazine 'Comic Rush' started a serialization of 'Servant of Evil' with the illustrations provided by Nekoyama Miyao. The characters use the same names as their Vocaloid counterparts; such as 'Rin' instead of 'Riliane'. The serialization began on September 25, 2010 in the November Issue.[21] There is only on volume currently released in Japan. The manga also has an official website.[22]
There is an official YouTube account created for the purpose of promoting the manga. To date, four videos have been uploaded, with three of them follow the storyline of 'Story of Evil' with some added backgrounds. The language of the manga in the videos is Japanese.[23]

They contain some of the main storyline songs, and also include other songs by mothy from other series such as Clockwork Lullaby, Seven Deadly Sins, and Original Sin Story.
